About Joe

Over the years I have learned and experienced many things, though this process will continue throughout our lives, it is an endless growing process.

It is the challenges and opportunities which present themselves when we least expect it, the 'ah-ha!' moment that when inspiration reveals itself and we feel that at last we have have discovered the correct path to take.

I remember a time when most things were done manually, even claimed to say I never wanted to work with computers, in school the first computers were mainly black screens with green type and lots of silly codes to make things happen.

Then one day I decided to leave the comfort of secure job, deep down I knew it was time to change, and decided to return to higher education to pursue a career in Advertising. It was back to the classroom, a part time job and a drastic change in life style.

What I discovered during this process was a long hard lesson on survival and living. I found myself doing jobs I never dreamt of doing, painting, decorating, trades and washing dishes at a bar to get by.

I soon discovered the challenges in my carreer choice and found a competitive job market, experience required, but no one willing to hire without it.

It was then I decide to change it all and started Advise Design, as a freelance consultant working with small businesses to develop logos and marketing materials. Successfully learned all I know with lots of hard work.

The skills gained during this experience included business management, organisation and self development, and most importantly, the confirmation that I could do anything when I put my mind to it.
